  • Nickname: The Edge; given to him by Bono, for his sharp facial features, along with his sharp mind and ability to view things from “the edge”
  • The Edge was re-baptized by Bono early in band’s career
    • He attended prayer group meetings with Bono and Larry in the 1970s to find spirituality and to seek guidance
    • The Edge has always been torn between his Christian beliefs and his Rock and Roll lifestyle; he almost quit U2 because of this in 1981
    • In 1983, he was married to Aislinn O’Sullivan his high school sweetheart for seven years; had 3 daughters – Hollie, Arran and Blue Angel
    • Married Morleigh Steinberg in 2002; together they have a daughter, Sian, and a son, Levi
