(New York- January 9, 2013) THREE DAYS GRACE has announced that Matt Walst, lead singer of My Darkest Days (http://www.mydarkestdays.com/), will be joining the band as the lead singer for their North American tour starting with the Moline, IL show on February 1st and will continue throughout the tour. Former lead singer, Adam Gontier, has left the group effective immediately due to a health issue.

In a quote from bassist Brad Walst, he stated "We were surprised and distressed by Adam's sudden departure.  We are however very excited for this upcoming tour, and to have my brother Matt stepping in as lead singer."

THREE DAYS GRACE recently wrapped over a dozen sold out, intimate venue shows in celebration of their recently released, Top 5 chart debuting album TRANSIT OF VENUS (RCA Records), which hit stores in October. In addition to debuting at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, TRANSIT OF VENUS debuted at #1 on the Hard Rock Music Chart and #4 on the Digital Albums Chart. The band had the longest running #1 single of 2012 at mainstream and active rock radio formats (“Chalk Outline”), spending nearly 3 months at the top of the charts.  The 2nd single from Transit of Venus, High Road, goes to radio January 22nd.

In addition on December 11, 12, 13 they played very special hometown shows in Peterborough, Ontario where each night benefitted a charity of the band’s choice.

The band begins a co headline tour with  multiplatinum rock band SHINEDOWN and special guest P.O.D, kicking off on February 1 at the iWireless Center in Moline, IL (see below itinerary).

So cool - I got to interview all the guys from Alice In Chains this past Thursday in studio before they rocked the MMRBQ. Check it out!

Greetings Citizens,

In February of 1998 I had the pleasure of speaking with Ray Manzarek.  We discussed the stamps of The Doors that were just released and I asked him about The Doors movie, directed by Oliver Stone.  We are deeply saddened by Ray's passing but the music will always live on!

Cheers,

Pierre

Thursday afternoon, I had the chance to speak with the lead vocalist of one of my favorite bands, RIVAL SONS. They just released their 3rd album in the USA (March 19th) called Head Down. It's an amazing record. Jay and I discussed many a topic in the hour we conversed. We talked about the new record, Rock N Roll, Snowboarding, Touring, and a whole lot more. I really enjoyed our conversation and I hope you do as well. Get more information about Rival Sons at Their Facebook Page, HERE. Or, go to their website, HERE. And, don't forget to follow Rival Sons on Twitter. Thank you so much for listening,

Markus In The Darkus
