Today, Dr. Johnathon Spergel, Chief of Allergy and Director of Pediatric Eosiniphilic Disorder at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as Steve & Suzanne Harris and their sons Dean & Cole were in the WMMR studio to discuss eosinophilic esophagitis. which is a serious problem that affects 1 in 1000 people. We discussed how the disease not only affects those who have it, but the families involved. We also chatted about the Food Phight 5K which is May 18th in Westchester. You can get information about the Food Phight 5K here. More info about eosinophilic esophagitis and CHOP here. Thanks for listening,

Thank you for running this piece on Eosinophilic Esophagitis. I want awareness raised too!!! I (as an adult) have been struggling with this disease for over 5 years and I still don't have answers. There is much more to this illness than food allergies. I now travel out of state to see a GI and an allergist. However, the allergist says my EE is not food related. But the GI says it is! This is the circle I have been on for so many years. I suffer DAILY with this disease!!! We DO need awareness raised and thank you to your station for bringing just a bit of light to this subject. THANK YOU!!!

So cool - I got to interview all the guys from Alice In Chains this past Thursday in studio before they rocked the MMRBQ. Check it out!

Greetings Citizens,

In February of 1998 I had the pleasure of speaking with Ray Manzarek.  We discussed the stamps of The Doors that were just released and I asked him about The Doors movie, directed by Oliver Stone.  We are deeply saddened by Ray's passing but the music will always live on!

Cheers,

Pierre

Thursday afternoon, I had the chance to speak with the lead vocalist of one of my favorite bands, RIVAL SONS. They just released their 3rd album in the USA (March 19th) called Head Down. It's an amazing record. Jay and I discussed many a topic in the hour we conversed. We talked about the new record, Rock N Roll, Snowboarding, Touring, and a whole lot more. I really enjoyed our conversation and I hope you do as well. Get more information about Rival Sons at Their Facebook Page, HERE. Or, go to their website, HERE. And, don't forget to follow Rival Sons on Twitter. Thank you so much for listening,

Markus In The Darkus
