Raine Maida - Our Lady Peace
Posted 8/5/2009 6:00:00 AM

Last Thursday, July 30th,  I interviewed Raine Maida, frontman of Our Lady Peace, about their new record, Burn Burn which came out on July 21st. The first single, All You Did Was Save My Life Tonight, was co-written with Zac of the Nixons. The record is excellent. They are currently on tour and will be at the TLA August 16th. Their live shows are solid as well. I recommend this band and record. Enjoy and thanks for listening.

I have to agree and thanks for keeping us well informed. More listeners/people need to catch a show or just have a listen. Totally wipes me out. I'm really hoping to make the show as well...would be my second time. Thanks Markus!

Pierre chats with Papa Roach lead singer Jacoby Shaddix.  The organization he mentions that Papa Roach is working with to feed the hungry is called Why Hunger.  Their website is WhyHunger.org and you can call them at 1-866-3-Hungry.
Mikko Siren, the drummer of Apocalyptica, called the MMR Studios to talk about their new CD, 7th Symphony as well as their show at The Electric Factory on Saturday Night. Not only did we discuss the new record and tour, we talked about choosing singers to do guest vocals, playing Europe, expensive cellos, Sonisphere in Pori and more. The new CD is excellent and includes Gavin Rossdale and Brent Smith doing vocals as well as Dave Lombardo playing drums. More info at their website: http://www.apocalyptica.com/us/home

Thanks for listening. Enjoy,
