HALLOWEEN CANDY COLLECTION FOR US TROOPS
Two major TV networks already have their interviews ready to air from October 30th until Wednesday Nov 5th. Many colleagues from all over the Delaware Valley to join in. This is a charity that runs on energy, not major corporate dollars.
This year we seek to break our national record, set last year of 5600 pounds of Halloween candy collected. The troops use this candy to befriend local children, to promote democracy, and to gather information.
We would like the help of local school PTA's, athletic leagues, and businesses. We will be collecting candy on November 1, 3, 4, and 5. Call our office if you can help with donations.
Thanks to the help of NFI Freight, we will have a trailer, on site for collection. We also hope to have several US soldiers here to thank the kids. The candy will all be ...
Operation First Response - Fundraiser - 6-28-08
Posted 6/26/2008 3:01:00 AM
A fundraiser on Saturday night, June 28th.
It's at Soncini's Bar/restaurant from 7pm until 10 pm. Tickets are $30 and include buffet, draft beer, and mix drinks. Proceeds go to Operation First Response, an organization that helps our wounded heroes returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. There will be a local Hero from Warminster PA there on Saturday as well. His name is PFC Justin Gindhart - he is a Army Combat Infantry Medic and he saved the life of Cpl. Wesley Leon. They were in an IED blast on December 20th, 2007. If it weren't for Justin, Cpl. Leon would not be alive today.
PFC Justin Gindhart is on R&R Leave from Iraq right now and returns to Iraq on the 4th of July. We'd love to get as many people out to thank him and to support the wounded as possible.
