Great show, I like Faraday's character. I hope he shows up again at some point. Why did Eloise HAVE TO sacrifice him? Does something he does on the island really save the world OR just these strangers that she doesn't really know? Still waiting to find out Hurley's story...

Wow, the LOST talk around here has certainly dropped to an all time low.

So is Eloise evil? Did she choose to protect the island over her son?

Great show last night, Sawyer's nicknames for Dan, aka Twitchy and HG Wells were hilarious. sad to see so little posts here today

I like the girl with the turquoise panties and the Sixers half shirt, but what is with the rosary tattoo on her abdomen? Can't see her as being too pure.. Underboobs ROCK. Oh yea, Lost was good also.

so sad to see so few posts. here's my question. it appears that jack, kate and company are still going to try to follow through with daniel's plan to make it so that the hatch is never built and that the plane never crashes, etc. i don't think they'll achieve this, but if they did, what would happen to them in 1977? if the plane never crashed, then they wouldn't be there in 77 so would they just disappear??? do we think that heloise really sent daniel back knowing that he would be killed? did heloise work with widmore in deciding to raise daniel to concentrate all his work on figuring out time travel, etc. knowing that they would one day send him back? what caused daniel's memory problem? time travel?

I don't know if Eloise is really evil or if she is truly protecting the greater good. Why else would she knowingly send her son off to die if not for a larger purpose?

last night was kinda sad actually. daniels whole life from the moment hes born is a joke. he is being used and groomed. he existed only so that he could be shot. sad, but he probly isnt gone for good. i was glad to see that jack actually grew a set a little again last night. i was sick of his whole deal this season, he has barely had an impact. Kate also is beginning to get annoying with her unfocused distance-y look all the time. after having a very strong season, sawyer has turned into kind of a wuss. given his life, its understandable, but the old bad ass sawyer is who we all love. i found it interesting that we now know for certain that all of the people in the show who have seemed "all knowing" or "special" (widmore, eloise, ben, richard) really arent that special. they just have already experienced everything so they know whats going on already. its not hard to play smart when u know the answer. i cant wait to see the season finale. all i know is, i hope their is more sayid in the last 2 weeks.

why is everyone saying faraday died? he was just shot... we don't know that he's dead. the others are crazy smart. once they realize that he's no threat, they'll fix him right up! I don't like how faraday used to say that what happened happened, but now all the sudden they can change what happened because faraday says so?

Great Freakin Episode!!! I think Faraday's gone! Eloise knew she was going to sacrifice her son because she followed the path that the universe always course corrects itself. She knew that if she didn't shoot Daniel, someone else would in the camp. BTW- Nice revelation that Widmore was his daddy!! LOL!!

Was there any purpose of them focusing in on the Wired magazine titled "The Impossible Gets Real" that was on the chair Widmore was going to sit on at Daniel's home? It did say time travel on it.

No one mentioned this, but Daniel and Penny are brother and sister. As far as I can remember, they never met. So Christian had 2 children that didn't know about each other and now we find out that Widmore shares the same circumstance. I'm also guessing that Desmond didn't realize that he was talking to Penny's brother when Daniel came to the hatch. Do we know who Penny's mother is? I can't remember if they showed us this before. Easykeel, where are ya? Whats next? We find out that Jacob is Richards dad? Oh, all the daddy issues on this show...LOL

P&S suck for not having the LOST chats anymore! Did anybody notice that Young Eloise wasn't the same actress from JUGHEAD?

I don't think Eloise is evil. I saw the pain in her eyes when she was talking Daniel into going to the island. She also said he couldn't get involved with any girl because the girl would only be hurt. She knew he had to die all of his life but why? I guess we will find out later. So sad for Daniel. And yes he is dead. I saw his lifeless eyes at the very end.
  20. Blueberry posted on 05/03/2009 07:26 PM
Could Daniel's memory loss be caused by them taking him into the temple like they did Ben? Is that why the time shifting of the island didn't affect him?

i agree with Sawyer, why leave the island now whenyou really have no future to go back to. And Kate is REALLY pissing me off!! Take your freckles and go. ***I just enjoy this show and its mysteries; I know nothing about Star Wars or Egyptian mythology(except the basics) but I still enjoy trying to figure out whats next...thanks to all who care about that "geeky stuff' AND give the show a deeper meaning...but Sawyer is still hot and belongs with Juliet!

I think Christian is Jacob. Where is Claire? she walked off with Christian but Jack also sees him, so Claire does not have to be dead. I wish I could remember the past episodes like some of you can. How did Christian die? I just rmember Sawyer talking to him in a bar near a pay phone in Australia. But the rest is up in smoke. Help?
  23. Alaine posted on 05/04/2009 03:28 PM
To jeni7719: I believe Jack's dad Christian drank himself to death.
  24. Scott posted on 05/04/2009 04:33 PM
Claire is coming back next season. There was a "holding contract" with Emilie de Ravin which kept her out of Season 5 for her to pursue other career options. The Holding contract, however, requires de Ravin to return to the show as a regular during the sixth and final season. Alaine is correct about Christian, he was found in the gutter after drinking himself to death one night in Sydney.

It appears that what Daniel is describing is much like Donnie Darko. Totally blows my mind.
