Record Store Day - April 16th

As you may know, Record Store day is happening on April 16th and this year there are so many great LPs and 45s being released! Tom Petty's first two albums on colored vinyl, The Foo Fighters' covers (Baker Street, Band on the Run, Have a Cigar) on an LP, Joan Jett's first album on clear vinyl, to name a few and all of them will be released as a limited print run. That's all way cool but the best thing is simply supporting your local record store. You've probably noticed how scarce record stores are these days so April 16th is a day we can celebrate these mom and pop shops and help keep them in business. Armand Records is always my first stop when looking for turntables and turntable supplies. What good is a vinyl collection if you can't pull one off the shelf and listen every once in a while?

Pierre Speaks with David Bryan from Bon Jovi

Greetings Citizens!

I got a call the other day from David Bryan, the keyboard player for Bon Jovi. He worte the music and co-produced Memphis, the Tony award winning musical which is at the Academy of Music every night through Sunday, January 22. It's a wonderful play about a DJ in the 1950s and the racial struggles of the time. I highly reccomend seeing it before it leaves town next week.
