Thanksgiving with Pierre and Alice's Restaurant
Posted 11/24/2009 1:00:00 PM
Greetings!

I hope you can join me on Thanksgiving this year for the annual playing of "Alice's Restaurant".  I'll play the original version at 10am, the updated version at noon, and the original version again at 2pm on vinyl.  If you look to the right you'll see a great photo our promotions assistant, Rhys, made.  It looks pretty real!  I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Cheers,

Pierre

Hey Pierre, Listening to Alice's Restaurant and it triggered a memory of working together on the short-lived Rock'n Comix Show on Channel 17, years ago. I was a camera man/tape op. Fun times with you and Buzz...Thanks for the memories and Happy Thanksgiving!

Pierre, it has been 6 years since I called you from Baghdad. I want to let you know I am still keeping the tradition alive. Only this time I am home with my family listening to your show instead of being in Iraq. I salute you and all of my brothers and sisters in the service today that are not able to be home for Thanksgiving this year.

Pierre's Interviews:

Greetings Citizens!

I can't believe it happened but earlier in the week I got the incredible opportunity to talk for 20 minutes on the phone with the great Ronnie Wood!  We discussed a lot of things about the Rolling Stones including their shows in Philly, the state of the band, ticket prices, and special guests that have joined them on stage.  The whole interview can be heard below.

Cheers,

Pierre

Greetings Citizens!

I had the great pleasure of speaking with Brent Smith of Shinedown about their upcoming Carnival of Madness Philly show at the Mann in August.  Brent is such a great guy and it's always nice to catch up with him and find out what's new with Shinedown.  From the Band on the Boat years ago to the MMRBQ last year, Brent and Shinedown have been friends of the station for a long time and we're really excited for them to come back to town later in the summer.  Check out my conversation with Brent!

Cheers,

Pierre

On Sunday, Carolyn Fitzgerald, The Volunteer Coordinator for the Animal Control 7 Care Team of Philadelphia, along with Justina Calgiano, The Director of Community Relations with the DelCo SPCA  came into the studio to discuss this AWESOME adoption event happening at The Pet Smart in the Plymouth Meeting Metroplex on June 15th & 16th. You can get all of the details here. Please feel free to call The ACCT team at 267.385.3800. Adopt from a shelter. You are saving 2-3 lives every time you adopt from a shelter or a rescue organization. Thank you so much for listening.
