Coming to DVD on November 4th is Eric Clapton’s latest DVD and Blu-day disc, called Planes, Trains And Eric. The film follows Clapton and his band on the Far and Middle Eastern leg of “Slowhand’s" 2014 World Tour, featuring 13 full-length performances “blended with interviews with Eric Clapton and the band members, rehearsal and soundcheck footage, travel by trains and planes, presentations and ‘fly on the wall’ filming of all the many aspects of being on the road with Eric Clapton.”

Clapton’s band for the critically acclaimed jaunt included legendary drummer Steve Gadd, former Squeeze and Mike + The Mechanics organist Paul Carrack, longtime Clapton veterans Nathan East on bass and Chris Stainton on keyboards, along with backing vocalists Michelle John and Shar White.

  • The tracklisting to Eric Clapton’s Planes, Trains, And Eric is: “Tell The Truth," “Pretending,” “Crossroads," “Driftin’,” “I Shot The Sheriff,” “Little Queen Of Spades,” “Layla,” “Wonderful Tonight,” “Key To The Highway,” “Before You Accuse Me,” “Tears In Heaven,” “Cocaine,” “Hoochie Coochie Man,” and “High Time” (Credits - Audio Only).
  • Bassist Nathan East played a huge role in Clapton’s late-‘80s and early-'90s renaissance. He explained that whether in the studio, or on the road, Clapton has remained not only an innovator, but a joy to work with: "Eric is just a one-of-a-kind. There’s Eric and then there’s every other musician (laughs). Everything he touches seems to turn to gold, y’know? He has a beautiful voice and I’ve never met anyone who plays with such passion. Music is such an expression of passion and all the things that have happened to you and whatever -- and Lord knows he’s been through a lot in his life -- but the way it flows through him musically is like something I’ve never ever seen."
