"World On Fire," the title track from Slash's upcoming album World On Fire, is now streaming online. The track arrived at rock radio stations late last week, while the full record is due out on September 15th. The disc follows up 2012's Apocalyptic Love and is the second solo effort recorded by Slash with his band Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators.
Slash told Music Radar about the new CD, "The one thing about this record is that it was almost like it wrote itself, it was very effortless. And that happens very rarely, when there's a certain energy that carries the creative process and it's almost like you're not in control of it and you just ride that wave. That's how this record was."
- Slash released his first self-titled solo effort in 2010. He employed a different vocalist on each track of that first album, before settling on Alter Bridge member Kennedy for touring and eventually recording.
- Slash and Aerosmith will team up for a U.S. tour this summer, beginning on July 10th in Wantagh, New York.

SIDE NOTES: Slash was asked in a recent interview about the ongoing search for a new Velvet Revolver singer. The band has been dormant since firing frontman Scott Weiland in April 2008. Slash remarked, "There's a lot of people that we tried out that we don't talk about. The more that time passes, the less rock and roll singers there seems to be. Like, that style of just really, sort of, from-the-heart, guttural rock and roll. It seems to be just getting more and more glossed up."
WHAT DO YOU THINK??
- What do you think of the new Slash song?
- Do you think he's found a good groove with his current band?
- Should people just stop asking him about Velvet Revolver? Do we all know that the band is probably never coming back?

Matt Mud wrote: "Don't like this either. It sounds like generic pop rock to me. Myles is a good singer technically speaking but his voice sounds weak and thin. And his lyrics are bland and boring. The problem is that Myles Kennedy isn't a rock star, he's just some guy..."
Alex Jankovic wrote: "I'm sorry I love slash but this is terrible... Get VR back together solo thing had its ride .. Myles just doesn't work and music just bland .. VR is way better."
Rob McDougall wrote: "Great tune, this band has chemistry, more so than VR."
Rodrigo Freitas wrote: "If there was a demand for VR, the band would still be active. Nobody really gives a f***."
Trino Segovia wrote: "Maaaan everybody just give up on Revolver!! What are you fools waiting for for? The rapture?"
