Pop Evil releases its new album Onyx on Tuesday (May 14th) after streaming the full disc online over the weekend. The group's fourth studio album follows up 2011's War Of Angels and is the band's second effort for independent label eOne. The set features the single "Trenches," which is sitting at Number Eight on the Active Rock radio chart.
We asked frontman Leigh Kakaty a while back what his band's goals are: "You know, what we're hoping at the end of the day, what we're trying to do with this band is inspire and help people. That was the dream when we started, you know, and to see all the people that we've helped along the way thus far, it just gives that much more motivation to get back on the grind, get back on the road and shake the hands with as many people as you can, and to really make it about the fans."
- Pop Evil's 2008 debut, Lipstick On The Mirror, featured the single "Hero."
- The band has dates booked well into the summer and plays Tuesday night in Bismarck, North Dakota.
