Alice In Chains and Jane's Addiction will lead the lineup of the fourth annual Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival, which kicks off on August 9th in Scranton, Pennsylvania and winds down on September 15th in Irvine, California. Other acts on the bill include Coheed And Cambria, Circa Survive, Walking Papers -- featuring Duff McKagan -- Middle Class Rut, New Politics, Danko Jones, Chuck Shaffer Picture Show and a local Battle of the Bands winner in each market.

Guitarist Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains said in a statement, "I think it's going to be a fun tour and we're really looking forward to it. It's only going to happen that one time, that way, and you're going to be there."

  • Cantrell told us that for Alice In Chains, which has so many hit songs, putting together a set list is a quality problem: "There's always somebody that's bummed out. We've got 90 minutes to play. We could play every one of our top radio songs and there would still be songs that we can't play because we're gonna run out of tunes (laughs). There's a lot of songs that people like to hear that are deeper cuts, and that we like to play, so you know, you end up playing a lot of your bigger tunes and that's what people want to hear."
  • Tickets for most of the shows go on sale Thursday (April 25th) at noon local time, with prices ranging between $10.25 and $89.75, plus fees.
  • Alice In Chains will be touring behind its fifth studio album, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, which arrives on May 28th.
