John Mayer kept relatively quiet on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday (April 2) when Ellen asked him about the end of his relationship with Katy Perry. John explained that he's learned a lot from past relationships and the previously chatty singer kept to himself about the love that he and Katy once shared.
John said, "It was a very private relationship going in, it was private relationship during, and it's a very private relationship still. I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I've given, but I finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and another. Coupling is a tricky thing."
Some previous loose lipped things John has said include: famously calling Jessica Simpson "sexual napalm;" claiming that Kerry Washington "would break your heart like a white girl;" and saying, "All I want to do now is f*ck the girls I've already f*cked, because I can't fathom explaining myself to somebody who can't believe I'd be interested in them."
