Disturbed singer David Draiman's new band Device has released yet another new song from its upcoming self-titled debut album. The track, called "Penance," began streaming online Wednesday (March 27th), just a few days after another new track, "You Think You Know," was posted via Soundcloud. The full record arrives on April 9th, with Device kicking off a series of tour dates on the 10th in Mobile, Alabama.
Draiman told us that fans should not come out to see Device expecting to hear Disturbed songs: "This is a completely separate thing. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other, and I would caution anyone that is coming to any of these Device shows thinking that they're going to hear Disturbed material: they're not. They're gonna hear this record (laughs). I want it to exist on its own merit, on its own credit and to build it, you know, from the ground up. I have no problem doing that."
- The Device album features guest appearances from Avenged Sevenfold singer M. Shadows, System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler and ex-Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes.
- Draiman launched Device last year with ex-Filter guitarist Geno Lenardo, after Disturbed went on hiatus in late 2011.
- Lenardo will not tour with Device due to previous commitments. The live band includes Evanescence drummer Will Hunt and Dope guitarist Virus.
- The first official single and video from the album, called "Vilify," has now cracked the Top 10 at Active Rock radio.

INTERNET COMMENTS at Blabbermouth -- agree or not?
clownfrown wrote: "That song is absolute horse s***."
Watt wrote: "David certainly does have a very loose definition of 'industrial' and 'electronic'. This is almost Disturbed verbatim with a couple of guests thrown in and lyrical content straight from his Livejournal."
Ripper wrote: "Sounds like disturbed with scabs except the fake-Dan donnegan orchestra is a little louder. Geno can't even tour with this hack band because his job gives only five paid sick days a year."
dethryde wrote: "doesn't sound much different from the Disturbed drivel. Even did his grunt/snort/animal noise."
Evil Twin wrote: "This isn't industrial. It's more monster truck 7-11 parking lot metal. I'm sure there will be a huge run on Device XXL tank tops."
