Former Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland continues to maintain that "no one in the band can be fired" in the wake of the rest of the group doing just that to him last week. But while Weiland said last week that his dismissal was a publicity stunt concocted to "boost ticket sales" -- for some mysterious, unannounced tour -- he now has told Spin that the whole affair is "something that has taken on its own life. Behind the scenes, it's really not anything different than what was going on before."
