Yes kicks off its latest tour tonight (March 1st) in West Wendover, Nevada's Peppermill Concert Hall. They'll wrap up the 31-date trek on April 12th at Detroit's Fox Theatre. The new tour is breaking new ground by having the band perform three full albums back-to-back -- 1971's The Yes Album, 1972's Closer To The Edge, and 1973's Going For The One. The latest lineup of Yes now consists of Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, and latest frontman Jon Davison.

Guitarist Steve Howe, who joined the band in 1970 just before sessions for 1971's The Yes Album, recalled to us the early ambitious days of Yes: "We all had ambitions that was about being in a group where people could really play their ass off, and really make something that was different. I guess we wanted to be our own masters or our own creators, or something, or the other. Because we had good chemistry and were like, 'Hey what if I did this -- what if you did that?' All the arrangements were credited to 'Yes' because we sat and arranged people's songs to sound like we wanted them. We didn't want to rush."

• Out now is Yes' latest live collection, In The Present: Live From Lyon. The CD/DVD set featured the band in concert on December 1st, 2009 in Lyon, France with former lead singer Benoit David fronting the band.
