Bon Jovi will appear on Fox's American Idol on March 14th. The band, who'll release their latest album What About Now on March 12th, will perform the disc's lead single, "Because We Can." Bon Jovi's performance coincides with Idol's "Live Results Show" in which the public votes for which finalist stays in the competition and who gets cut loose.
Keyboardist David Bryan was asked how the band jeeps up the energy night after night after 30 years together: "How do we keep it up? It's cause that's what we do, we're musicians and we love to play and make music. And, y'know, with every album, we get better and with every tour we get better and it's fun. And we just keep going. Y'know, I guess now, really, the Rolling Stones is the gauge, so I guess we got till 70-somethin', so we got another couple of years there and keep going on."

DID YOU KNOW???
- Jon Bon Jovi collaborated with Brian Wilson on the closing track to the Beach Boys' latest album, That's Why God Made The Radio. Bon Jovi, who's worked previously with the album's coordinating producer and Wilson's co-writer Joe Thomas, helped come up with the poignant album closer, "Summer's Gone," which may go down in history as the final track on the last Beach Boys album. The reflective piece features a melancholy Wilson, looking back at his life, singing over the group's signature lush harmonies:
Summer's gone/It's finally sinking in/One day begins/Another ends/I live them all and back again
Summer's gone/I'm gonna sit and watch the waves/We laugh, we cry/We live then die/And dream about our yesterday
