Stone Sour, the Offspring and 3 Doors Down lead the lineup of the first-ever Fort Rock Festival, scheduled for April 14th at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Florida. This latest addition to an increasingly crowded spring festival lineup will also include Papa Roach, Volbeat, In This Moment, Escape the Fate, Device, Pop Evil, Otherwise and more to be announced on two separate stages. The Fort Rock Festival comes to you courtesy of the same team that produces Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion and three or four other events with almost the exact same roster of talent.

  • Tickets for the Fort Rock Festival go on sale Saturday, February 23rd at the ungodly hour of 6:00 a.m. ET at the event's website. There will also be special VIP and hotel packages available as well.
  • Meanwhile, Stone Sour has rolled out "Do Me A Favor," the first single from the upcoming album House Of Gold And Bones, Part 2. Singer Corey Taylor told us that the band may alternate picking singles from Part 2 and last year's Part 1: "Yeah, I mean, once 'Do Me A Favor' kind of does its thing, we'll probably go back to Part 1 and find something there, which I mean, it's a good problem to have, to be honest (laughs), you know. I mean, there's so many great songs that, you know, it's kind of hard to choose."
  • House Of Gold And Bones, Part 1 came out last fall, while the second disc of the band's ambitious sci-fi concept album arrives on April 9th.
  • Stone Sour has just finished up a U.S. run of dates with Papa Roach, and will return to the U.S. in late March after a brief overseas trip to appear on the Road To The Golden Gods tour, which will run through May 2nd.

LISTENERS' POLL: Should they diversify these festivals a little bit, or does it not matter since they're all in separate cities?
