Bon Jovi kicks off their "Because We Can Tour" on Saturday night (February 9th) at Uncasville, Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Arena. As it stands now, the tour will wind down on July 24th and 25th with a pair of hometown shows at East Rutherford, New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. In addition to the U.S. and Canada, Bon Jovi's 65-date world tour will hit South Africa, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, England, Wales, Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, and Scotland.
The band's new single, "Because We Can," is out now and Bon Jovi's upcoming album, What About Now, is due out on March 26th.
- We asked Richie Sambora if the fever pitch of the Bon Jovi die-hards gearing up for the new tour found it's way to the band's recent rehearsals for the trek: "I didn't personally feel that way. Everybody knew we were gonna get back after the first of the year. And I was obviously finishing up my solo album, Aftermath Of The Lowdown, and then I put that on the road, and I knew when it was gonna stop. And now I guess we're experiencing some of the fever pitch because we're back doing all the promotion, and then we're hearing that the ticket sales are going particularly well, and everybody's excited about the new single, and here we go!"
