Sevendust has revealed the itinerary for its upcoming U.S. spring tour, which the band will co-headline with reunited metal act Coal Chamber. The bill will also feature Lacuna Coil on the entire trip as direct support, with Candlelight Red opening the first half of the schedule and Stolen Babies opening the second. Tickets go on sale this Friday (January 18th) for the tour, which kicks off on March 28th in Tempe, Arizona.
Sevendust has been a touring machine for much of the past 16 years, but drummer Morgan Rose admitted that a time could come when the band isn't up to the job the way it used to be: "I don't want to be up there falling apart and having people say, 'Oh man, I remember when he used to play hard,' you know. That's the way I play and, you know, we don't act it out. We go up there and play the way that we feel like playing. So if we go up there and play the way we feel like playing and we can't do it, then I'm sure that somebody's gonna look and say, 'Hey, maybe we should start thinking about wrapping this up.'"
- The spring jaunt will be Sevendust's second major road outing since completing work on its ninth studio album, Black Out The Sun, which is due out on March 26th and follows up 2010's Cold Day Memory.
- A trek with Lacuna Coil will begin on February 2nd in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
- The first single from Black Out The Sun, called "Decay," will be officially released on January 22nd.
