Eric Clapton will join the Rolling Stones on stage tonight (November 29th) during the second and final "50 And Counting" UK show at London's O2 Arena. The Stones also announced that Florence & The Machine front-woman Florence Welch will also be joining the band on stage. There's no word as to whether former members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor will also be making cameos as they did during last week's kick-off to the band's latest string of dates.
Eric Clapton told us that he's come to view Keith Richards and the Stones the way he thought about the groundbreaking early bluesmen: "Well, he said a lot of great things and I read some great interviews where he said all he wanted to do was grow up with this thing, instead of, y'know, leaving it as though it was part of his adolescence (and) grow up with it. And I think that's really an important attitude to have. And I think it caught with the rest of them and I see they're all such great musicians, I don't think they really counted themselves as that before. And in this day and age when the musician is actually a dying breed, they all come to realize their worth."
