Although there was little doubt by fans who Paul McCartney was supporting in this election season, last night (November 5th) the former Beatle issued a video message with his band formally endorsing the re-election of President Obama. McCartney, speaking in his rehearsal room in Sussex, England, said in part: "Hi. This is a message to our North American fans mainly. As you know, tomorrow, November 6th, is voting day and we would like to urge you to get out there and vote. Very important. Three of the guys are American in the band."

Decade long American sidemen Rusty Anderson, Abe Laboriel Jr., and Brian Ray all exclaimed that they had voted already for Obama. McCartney went on to add: "And this is who we think you should vote for. Tell all your friends, get all your mates. Let's get him back into office. Mr. Obama. Vote Obama. Go do it! Get back!"
