Stone Sour has unveiled the video for "Gone Sovereign," one of the first two songs to be released from the band's upcoming album House Of Gold And Bones, Part 1. The clip is a straight performance video, with the group surrounded by hundreds of frenzied fans as they play the song. Frontman Corey Taylor told us how it came together: "We put the call out, and I was like, I was joking, and I was just like, 'Oh yeah, one to two thousand kids,' you know. And like, seriously, in the first three hours we had 800 kids sign up. And our director was like, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa. Time! We need a quarter of that.' So we got it down to about 500 kids, and they came in from all over the place."
- House Of Gold And Bones Part 1, the first half of a two-record concept album, comes out on October 23rd, while Part 2 will arrive next spring.
- Taylor recently confirmed that a four-issue comic book series based on House Of Gold And Bones will debut on April 17th, 2013. It will be published by Dark Horse Comics and will visualize the short story that forms the basis of the album.
- Taylor will be doing a signing session at the Dark Horse booth this Saturday (October 13th) at New York Comic Con.
- Stone Sour plans a full multi-media website to promote the albums and comics, and will launch a world tour later this fall.
