Three Days Grace has unveiled the official music video for "Chalk Outline," the first single from the Canadian band's new Transit Of Venus album. The clip finds singer Adam Gontier prowling the streets of Brooklyn as various accidents and altercations occur around him. The rest of the band members make cameos in the video as well. The song is currently enjoying its fourth week at the top of the Active Rock radio chart, making it the eighth single of the group's career to hit that peak.
Although the song has a heavy electronic vibe to it, drummer Neil Sanderson told us that the band wrote it the same way it writes all its tunes: "You know, we basically still write at an acoustic level, so we kind of just sit with acoustic guitars and a couple of vocals and a hand drum and a piece of paper, you know, and we write that way. We still have the philosophy that a great song will translate on just a guitar and vocals, you know, and then sort of whatever flavor or whatever color you decide to paint it afterwards, it still supports the root of the song."
