Die-hard Bruce Springsteen fan and New Jersey's Republican Governor Chris Christiehas made a plea for "The Boss" to perform on Memorial Day in Atlantic City at the Revel Resort -- the city's first non-union casino. Christie said a Springsteen performance "would be an incredible show of support by Bruce for his home state. . . for those working men and women who have been put back to work." Springsteen's reps declined to comment.
Backstreets.com reported that Christie and his wife Mary Pat will attend tonight's (March 29th) Springsteen show at Philly's Wells Fargo Center -- marking the governor's 127th Springsteen concert.
