NJ GOVERNOR WANTS BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN IN ATLANTIC CITY FOR MEMORIAL DAY

3/29/2012

Die-hard Bruce Springsteen fan and New Jersey's Republican Governor Chris Christiehas made a plea for "The Boss" to perform on Memorial Day in Atlantic City at the Revel Resort -- the city's first non-union casino. Christie said a Springsteen performance "would be an incredible show of support by Bruce for his home state. . . for those working men and women who have been put back to work." Springsteen's reps declined to comment.

Backstreets.com reported that Christie and his wife Mary Pat will attend tonight's (March 29th) Springsteen show at Philly's Wells Fargo Center -- marking the governor's 127th Springsteen concert.

JUST OUR OPINION

  • For a guy who's supposedly such a fan of Springsteen, it's kind of uncool to put him on the spot to play a casino to boost YOUR image, no???
  • Is Springsteen supposed to play this casino for FREE??? Who's paying him??? Taxpayers??? The casino??? Why not make a deal with his booking agent??? Why are WE involved???
  • Don't you think he'd have a better shot asking Jon Bon Jovi to do it instead???
