Music News

Jason Mraz has a pretty good problem on his hands: he has a lot of new material for a new album, due next year. The one catch? He has to narrow it down. It's part of the reason he's going on tour this fall so he can road test some new songs.

We recently caught up with Mraz, who told us about his progress: "Well, there's quite a bit. I've been in the process of working on an album, which is kind of evolving into two albums -- not to be released at the same time. But tons and tons of material sits there. But to me, I need to figure out what's relevant today -- like what can I put on stage right now or what feels good on stage. Some things feel great in the studio or in your bedroom and then you get on stage and thay make no sense."

Mraz's tour gets underway on September 11th in Bangor, Maine.

His next album will follow 2008's We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.
