Muse's upcoming album, The 2nd Law, features a surprise guest appearance from Bellamy's infant son with fiancee Kate Hudson -- recorded before he was born. According to Rolling Stone, the track "Follow Me," which Bellamy wrote for little Bingham, includes a recording of the baby's heartbeat while he was still in the womb. Bellamy explained that he made the recording on an iPhone "just before she pushed him out." Bingham was born in July 2011, shortly after the couple got engaged.

• Bingham's heartbeat is one of the diverse sounds heard on The 2nd Law, which arrives on October 2nd. Bellamy said, "There are electro-pop sounds and songs that are obviously classic rock. Then there are the orchestral things."
• He added that the trio's sixth studio disc would sound like "three different bands if it wasn't for my voice."
• The CD's first single, a dance number called "Madness," will be released to radio stations on Monday (August 20th).
• Another first on the album are two songs written and sung by bassist Chris Wolstenholme, both detailing his struggles to overcome alcohol addiction.
• Muse performed the track "Survival" during the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics in London last weekend. The song was the official theme of the games.

Bellamy heard the term while watching a program on economics, explaining, 'The laws of physics say that an economy based on endless growth is unsustainable. Everyone is obsessed with constant, unchecked growth, and no one is pointing out that we might be maxing out."
