THE OSBOURNES SHOW SUPPORT FOR RANDY BLYTHE

7/12/2012

Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon are joining the support for imprisoned Lamb of God frontman, Randy Blythe. Blythe was arrested on June 27 in the Czech Republic for alleged manslaughter after a fan died one month after a 2010 Lamb of God show. Reportedly, Blythe pushed the fan from the stage, leading to his death.

Sharon tweeted, "Please support former Ozzfest member Randy Blythe from @Lambofgodband. #FreeRandyBlythe." Her husband also retweeted the sentiment as well.

  • If convicted, Blythe could face five to 10 years in a Czech Republic jail. He is reportedly awaiting a new court date where it will be decided if the terms of his bail will be amended.
  • Blythe paid the $200K bail but was forbidden from leaving the country.

  • Lisa Klosterman writes on ultimateclassicrock.com, "do i read this correctly? a month after the show the guy dies? how does that prove it was due to the alleged throw offthe stage? If you are a true metal fan you know what your in for . a month later? i dont think so!Set this man free !"
  • Gavin Dell writes on ultimateclassicrock.com, "he pushed the guy off stage and the guy did a stage dive into the audience. he did a stage dive right before this incident too. how can they prove which stage dive injured him? If you convict blythe then they will have to tighted security at every rock concert."
  • Sam Seminatore writes on ultimateclassicrock.com, "my questions is why was the fan up on the stage, and where were the security at? coming from experience as security for concerts my self, he shouldn't have even made close to the stage to begin with. and I agree with Gavin, and Lisa here how can they prove that, that's what killed him. But that's the chances you take when you go to other countries, you don't have that kind of defense or right over there, I think it's messed up and hope for the best for him, I'm not really an Lamb of God fan but that's not fair for anyone ."
  • DalenMelissa Sutherland writes on ultimateclassicrock.com, "He's gonna end of being not guilty I believe but I think the process is gonna be a long dragged out affair."
