Shinedown, Godsmack and Staind will lead the lineup of the third annual Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival, which will return this August and hit 30 cities throughout North America. Papa Roach and Adelitas Way will join the three headliners on the main stage, while acts such as Redlight King, Deuce, P.O.D., Mindset Evolution, In This Moment, Thousand Foot Krutch, Candlelight Red and a local battle of the bands winner will fill up two side stages.

  • Shinedown singer Brent Smith said, "This is our first year on the Uproar Festival, and we are honored to be sharing the stage with all the bands . . . trust me this is one tour you do not want to miss."
  • Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkinadded, "Nothing makes us feel more at home than playing the best festival in the U.S. with the baddest-ass lineup of the year!"
  • More than 324,000 fans attended last year's Uproarrun, despite a stretch of bad weather that threw hurricanes and floods at the road show.
  • Tour dates, cities, venues and ticket info will all be announced in the coming weeks at the official tour website.

Snore. Didn't Godsmack and Staind just come through town? Isn't Shinedown playing here next week? Is it us, or does it seem like every rock festival package tour now features some combination of the same 10 or 12 bands over and over again?
