Pearl Jam gave the last concert ever at the legendary Philadelphia Spectrum on Saturday night (October 31st), wrapping up a four-night stand at the venue with a three-and-a-half hour, 41-song behemoth of a set. According to RollingStone.com, the band played a healthy amount of covers, B-sides and rare tunes, giving the Vitalogy track "Bugs" its first-ever live airing and digging up 1994's "Out Of My Mind" for only its third performance. "Sweet Lew," a musical tribute to basketball icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar sung by bassist Jeff Ament, also made its live premiere.
The marathon set spanned all nine of the band's studio albums and was peppered with hits like "Corduroy," "Even Flow," "Jeremy," "Alive" and "Better Man."
In the Halloween spirit, the band members came out dressed as Devo for their second encore, which they launched with that group's "Whip It."
Pearl Jam reportedly played 104 different songs -- nearly all of its recorded catalog -- during the four concerts at the Spectrum, which is due for demolition.
The Spectrum stand wrapped up a North American tour for Pearl Jam, who are supporting their new Backspacer album. The group next heads to Australia and New Zealand, with 2010 plans yet to be announced.
