Public Affairs - The Constitution Project
9/30/2013 4:11:00 AM
Sunday, General David R. Irvine, a distinguished member of the Constitution Project who was involved in the Detainee/torture report tied in to an in-depth look at America’s pre- and post-9/11 actions related to the capture, detention, and interrogation of suspected terrorists. In the wake of President Obama’s renewed pledge to close the Guantánamo Bay prison—and amidst ongoing scrutiny of detainee treatment there—this timely conversation will encourage dialogue about our policies toward prisoners in Guantánamo Bay, Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere. This was an interesting conversation as we discussed the report and how it ties in with the Constitution of the United States of America. Information about The Constitution Project and The Detainee/Interrogation/Torture Report at their website. A complete digital copy of the report can be read here. Thank you for taking the time to listen.
Pierre Talks to James Hetfield from Metallica
9/27/2013 1:40:00 PM
A few weeks ago I got the great pleasure to speak with James Hetfield from Metallica about a variety of topics including their new movie "Through The Never". My guess is that the guys in the band are trying to keep the plot somewhat secret so he doesn't open up much about the movie but he does add a few nuggets of information. I also asked him about the Orion and More Music Festival which was in Atlantic City a few years ago and what the chances are of it coming back.
