Today, I had a chance to speak with Ray Davies about his new book, Americana, which is a Fantastic Read. The book starts with him being shot in New Orleans and continues to travel back and forth all the way through sharing many stories that make for an incredible book. The use of lyrics in the book tie in beautifully and reading some of the great stories about the Kinks was a blast. I laughed out loud many times and definitely went through a full gamut of of emotions while reading Americana. It is available now here. Besides the writing of the book and the process we discussed some aspects and stories without giving too much away, yet hopefully enticing you to want to read about Ray Davies' fascinating journey through life and his Americana tales. Find out who Ray believes is the ideal rhythm section, he discusses Preservation Act 1 & 2 being relevant today. Don't want to give too much away. Check out Americana. Follow Ray on Facebook. Thanks for listening,
