The Parachuting Apostles - Remedy
Posted 1/2/2013 6:45:00 PM

WMMR's Local Shots welcomes 2013 with January's Artist of the Month: The Parachuting Apostles. These guys carry a listenable classic rock sound while keeping you on your toes with full-bodied guitar chords, the sounds of a saxophone, and a tempo change here and there to switch things up. Today we played the track "Remedy" off their latest EP Dishpig. You can follow the band through the month of January on their Artist Of The Month Page and on Facebook. Our first showcase of the new year is Friday, January 25th at Dobbs on South Street- catch the Apostles there!

Despite the positive and negative media hype about HGH, Buy Igtropin there are large numbers of traditional “old school” doctors coming out against HGH Growth Hormone, saying its benefits are minimal or dangerous, ansomone and many “progressive” and “forward-thinking” doctors are coming out in favor of HGH Growth Hormone Injections as in the case of the A4M. On the balance there seems to be more research pointing to HGH in low and moderate doses offering significant health benefits.Jintropin The fact that millions of people around the world are rushing to use HGH Injections and staying on programs, through Board Certified Physicians, Kigtropin tends to corroborate the research suggesting its positive benefits.

Ruby The Hatchet has taken over as the Local Shots Artist of the Month for July! Their brand of heavy, psychedlic rock sounds like a fuzzed out Sabbath. It's a beautiful thing. Today we played the song "Paralyzed" from their Eliminator EP, which you can get on blood red or clear vinyl via their Bandcamp page. You can also stream the songs on the Artist Of The Month page. Ruby The Hatchet is working on an LP that's expected to be released in the fall; get updates on Facebook and Twitter.

The Local Shots Podcast returns with a band called The Madeleine Haze. The song "Nightmares And Dreamscapes" balances grunge and progressive rock, and you can stream it now here on WMMR.com. Check out Facebook for details on their upcoming album release and their show at The Grape Room on July 12th.

The Loud Company delivers the catchy sounds you'll hear on today's Local Shots Podcast. Today's pick "Airwaves" will have you singing along with the Quakertown four-piece. Grab both of their EPs (name-your-price!) on bandcamp, and then go check them out on Saturday 7/5 at Kung Fu Neckie.

The Local Shots Podcast will be taking a brief vacation, but we'll be back and better than ever very soon. Get ready to hear more of Philly's finest right here on WMMR.com!
