It’s assumed that David Draiman loves being a rock star, but it looks like he loves being a dad even more!
The Disturbed singer’s side project, Device, has just dropped out of a European tour, on which they were set to play with Avenged Sevenfold and Five Finger Death Punch.
The announcement came in the form of posts on the Device official website and Facebook page, in which Draiman wrote:
“After careful consideration, I've decided to stay at home where I am needed most right now, with my family and newborn son, and not support Avenged Sevenfold with Device on their current November-December run. I want to thank my brothers in Avenged Sevenfold for the opportunity, for their friendship, and their understanding, and I look forward to seeing all of you again sometime in the future.”
Draiman and his wife Lena gave birth to their first child, Samuel Bear Isamu Draiman, on September 12 of this year. Following complications with her pregnancy this past summer, Device also canceled as series of concerts in August.
Device released their debut, self-titled album on April 9 via Warner Bros. Records. Their lead-off single "Vilify" hit No. 1 on the Mainstream US Rock charts.
