If you loved the first issue of Corey Taylor’s “House of Gold & Bones” comic book, you won’t have to wait long to find out what happens next!
The second of the four issue comic-series, entitled “The Questions” is due out on May 22 via Dark Horse Comics, and the Dark Horse website shares the following synopsis:
“Traveling through his new reality, the Human stumbles across an unlikely ally. But with the zombielike Numbers hounding their steps, they must make some unusual choices to avoid capture in an unknown world, with troubling consequences. But can the Human really trust his new friend's advice and find his way home again?”
The comics bear the same title as Stone Sour’s latest concept album, which was released in two parts over the course of the past year.
During a recent interview with Bloody-Disgusting, Taylor explained how the comics and albums came to fruition:
"While we were out there on the road, the idea just came to me and all the sudden I could see the beginning, the middle and the end, very vividly. I could see the characters coming together in my head, and that kind of triggered the music that I contributed to both Stone Sour albums," Taylor stated. "In the end things became much bigger in scope than the original idea, but when the idea came to me I just kept feverishly writing things down in notebooks, fleshing out the characters and putting together a chain of events. By the time we finally got into the studio this whole concept was about 98% finished, so I finalized it while we were in the studio. That was kind of where the idea to make it a comic book came from."
Stone Sour just wrapped up their Road to the Golden Gods tour, and will embark on a series of European concert dates beginning on June 7 in Nuremberg, Germany.
