After a successful solo debut in England over the weekend, including at the Reading and Leeds festivals, former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is bringing his act to the U.S.
Way has announced eight shows so far to support his first solo album, "Hesitant Alien," which comes out September 30; Way will kick things off October 12 at the Fillmore in San Francisco and play shows on the east and west coasts, wrapping up October 23 in New York City. There's no word yet on whether Way plans to expand the limited tour itinerary.
My Chemical Romance announced its break-up on March 22, 2013 via its web site; the group released four studio albums along with the compilation "May Death Never Stop You," which came out in March. Way has released a single and video, "No Shows," from "Hesitant Alien."
