With a new album, "Isolate and Medicate," in tow, Seether hits the road tonight (August 15) in suburban Detroit as part of this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival with Godsmack, Skillet and others.
Seether will go on each night just before Godsmack's closing set, and frontman Shaun Morgan tells us that he considers it an advantageous position:
"Yeah, I'm excited about that, man. We're actually very, very happy with the slot we got...It's one of those things where the institution sells the tickets rather than (the bands), so there's no pressure on us as a band. When you're headlining, all the onus is on that one band, usually. So it's nice for us to take a breather. I think we're putting in an hour-long set, and we can start playing some new stuff, man...That for me is the best part."
"Isolate and Medicate" debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart in June. The Uproar tour runs through September 20, and Seether is slated to head to Europe in November for a tour that stars November 16 in the U.K.
