Motley Crue Performing On CMA Special

LOS ANGELES, CA - MARCH 20: Musicians Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee speak onstage to announce their upcoming Motley Crue and KISS co-headlining tour at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on March 20, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
Motley Crue
may be rocking around North America on its farewell tour, but the group will get its twang on next week as part of the "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" airing at 8 p.m. ET August 5 on ABC.

The Crue will perform as part of the special (in a previously taped performance, of course), while frontman Vince Neil will join Justin Moore as part of a jam in a Nashville nightclub to duet on "Home Sweet Home."

The group is the subject of the upcoming album "Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute to Motley Crue," which features Crue songs covered by Rascal Flatts, Big & Rich, LeAnn Rimes. Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert and more. The set also features Staind's Aaron Lewis doing "Afraid" and Cheap Trick's Robin Zander joining Cassadee Pope for "The Animal in Me."

The tribute was originally due out in August but has been postponed for release later in the fall. The Crue, meanwhile, will be playing at the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota the same night as the ABC special and plans to be on the road with its farewell tour well into 2015.
