Bear Breaks Into David Coverdale’s Home, Raids Fridge

LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 20: Musician David Coverdale on stage at the 3rd Annual Revolver Golden God Awards at the Club Nokia on April 20, 2011 in Los Angeles, California.
It’s not uncommon for home owners to have an “ant problem,” but in the case of Whitesnake’s David Coverdale, he has a bear problem.

Coverdale spoke to ClassicRockMagazine.com recently and recounted how a black bear broke into his Lake Tahoe home and raided his fridge.

Apparently, the bear busted through two armed screen doors then proceeded to feast on Coverdale’s food, and then to add insult to injury, took a massive crap on the kitchen floor.  Coverdale was in his basement at the time, but when he came upstairs and saw the bear, he “shouted like crazy.” (No kidding!)

The bear managed to find his way out of the home but not without breaking an antique Tiffany lamp, which Coverdale referred to as “heartbreaking.”

Really? A giant bear breaks into your home, manages not to kill you…and you’re concerned about a f*cking lamp?!

While it was probably a lovely lamp, I’m just glad this story has a safe ending, and I didn’t actually have to write about how David Coverdale was eaten by a bear.
