Marilyn Manson and Russia were not to be over the weekend.
The shock rocker canceled his Friday (June 27) show at the Park Live Festival in Moscow due to a bomb threat; Manson tweeted a photo from outside the venue, showing police vehicles and informing followers that "Bomb threats have canceled our show in Moscow, just as we were about to perform."
Then Manson's concert Sunday (June 24) concert in Novosibrisk was pulled by local authorities due to threats of protests from groups who felt his stage antics were offensive. Concert promoter Sibriskie Gastroli issued a statement that, "Authorities of all levels have denied us permission to hold the concert on June 29. We fought until the end but the situation proved stronger than us, unfortunately."
Mason is currently on break until August 6, when his begins another European tour in Ultrecht, Netherlands.
