Ozzy Voicing Character on Nick Jr. Cartoon

LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 12: (Editors Note Image converted to B/W from color original) Singer Ozzy Osbbourne performs at the 2014 10th Annual MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert at Club Nokia on May 12, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
This can be filed under “A,” for “Adorable.”

Reports have surfaced via RollingStone.com that Ozzy Osbourne will be guest starring on Bubble Guppies, a popular Nick Jr. cartoon series as Sid Fishy, who is described as a “rock and roll fish who loves being rotten.”

You may ask why The Prince of Darkness would even think about taking part in such a show.  It turns out that even Ozzy is not above wanting to be a cool grandfather.

"The whole reason I did the show was for Pearl," who is Ozzy’s two-year-old granddaughter. "She has Nick Jr. on 24/7. I can’t wait to see her reaction when she hears my voice come from Sid Fishy’s mouth."

This, of course, isn’t the first time a rocker lent their voice to a children’s show.  Just recently, Flea voiced a character on the Disney Channel show Sheriff Callie’s Wild West.

Personally, I’m hoping this leads to a whole slew of musicians voicing children’s characters.  Can you imagine David Lee Roth showing up in a cartoon?  The man is practically a cartoon already!
