Linkin Park Appearing At Comic-Con

Linkin Park
is following Metallica's footsteps with an appearance at this year`s Comic-Con in San Diego.

With a new album, "The Hunting Party," due out June 17, the group will headline the first-ever MTV Fan Fest in PetCo Park on Comic-Con's opening day, June 24. They even will be open to all Comic-Con badge holders, as well at the mtvU Fandom Awards, which will be held the same day and taped for a one-hour special airing July 27. Metallica appeared and performed at last year's Comic-Con to promote its then-upcoming 3D movie "Metallica Through the Never."

Linkin Park is currently in Europe playing festivals and kicks off its Carnivores Tour with Thirty Seconds to Mars on August 8 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
