Rob Zombie has dabbled with covers in the past, most recently playing Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” on his current tour, but this time at 93.3 WMMR’s “MMR*B*Q” Saturday night (May 10th), Zombie had Peter Criss help him out with the KISS classic “God of Thunder.”
While Zombie’s introduction of Criss contains some NSFW language (surprise!), it is full of heart and admiration, and for someone like Criss, who for the past few months has been openly criticized by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, it had to have felt good to take the stage and receive such an ovation.
The only thing better than the crowd reaction was the vibe Criss was putting out during the performance. It looked like he was having a blast, and it's hard not to feel the same while watching the video above.
