Joan Jett To Perform With Nirvana At Rock Hall Ceremony

The hot new rumor on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame front has Joan Jett joining Nirvana for a performance during the induction ceremony on Thursday (April 10) in Brooklyn.

The speculation has been fueled by a photo on the Foo Fighters' Facebook and Instagram pages of four instruments in a rehearsal studio, which appear to be Dave Grohl's drum kit, Krist Novoselic's bass, Pat Smear's guitar and what appears to be Jett's stickered white Melody Maker, which sits front and center.

Jett has worked with Grohl, Smear and Foo Fighters in the past, when the group backed her during a 2011 performance on CBS's "Late Night With David Letterman," while Jett produced the debut album by Smear's old band the Germs. Nobody is commenting officially on the matter, but we can hope Jimmy Fallon will ask Grohl and Novoselic about it when the two appear tonight (April 9) on NBC's "The Tonight Show."
