Imagine how bummed you’d be if your favorite band hadn’t played your hometown in over 15 years. That’s the case a group of Foo Fighters fans from Richmond, Va. are facing, and they’re doing something about it.
In an effort to get the band’s attention, an online campaign was started on Crowdhoster where fans can buy “tickets” to a Foo Fighters “show” in Richmond, Va. (even though it doesn’t exist…yet) in hopes that the band will book an actual show in the near future.
If you think this is all a ploy to get a bunch of money and run, it’s not. In an interview with WTRV.com, Andrew Goldin, one of the fans behind the stunt, ensured that if the Foos don’t play, supports will get their money back and that Crowdhoster will hold onto the money for the time being.
