Arrest Made in Death Threats Against Soundgarden's Chris Cornell

A woman in Seattle has been arrested and will be charged with sending death threats to Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell via Twitter.

According to Seattle TV station KIRO 7, Elizabeth Walden sent Cornell more than 100 death threats from nine different Twitter accounts and also threatened to rape his 13-year-old daughter.

Prosecutors plan to file criminal charges against Walden this week but have not spoken about her motives for the attacks.

Cornell has been the victim of death threats before, including letters and emails threatening to kill Cornell's wife, Vicky, and his children in 2004.

Soundgarden has a small batch of overseas shows scheduled for this year, including Lollapalooza festivals in Chile and Brazil this spring and dates opening for Black Sabbath in Germany during June; drummer Matt Cameron will be sitting out the shows, however, because of his commitments to Pearl Jam.
