5/30 Corn Hole Tournament

The Mount Laurel Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 191 is hosting their first annual Corn Hole Tournament to benefit our Lenape High School Scholarship Fund. There will be Music, food, drink and games. 

The tournament is double elimination.

Cost is $80 per team and includes Food, drinks, T-shirt and commemorative mug; $10 for spectators that includes food, drinks, and mug.

Proceeds will go to the Mount Laurel Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 191 Scholarshio Fund (for Lenape High School).

The Delaware Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is hosting its third annual PurpleStride 5K Walk on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Registration begins at 8am, and the opening ceremonies are at 9am.

Adult timed registration is $30 in advance, and $35 day of. Untimed registration is $25 in advance, and $30 day of.
Youth (ages 3-12) timed registration is $15 in advance, and $20 day of. Untimed registration is $10 in advance, and $15 day of.
Pancreatic Cancer Survivors are free.

5/30 Canine Partners for Life’s Pawty at the Preserve

Join Canine Partners for Life as we celebrate 25 years of creating life-changing canine partnerships! This pawesome event will unfold at the gorgeous Lenfest Center at ChesLen Preserve, one of the largest private nature preserves in southeastern PA.  Guests will nibble on fantastic culinary delights from John Serock Catering, sip local libations, test their luck in lawn games, and receive plenty of puppy kisses at the puppy meet-and-greet! The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) will hold its second annual NEDA Walk in Philadelphia and in many of other cities around the country to raise awareness and much needed funding to battle anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorders. The funds will be used to support the educational and advocacy programs NEDA offers to support families affected by eating disorders.

6/6 Tour de Cure 2015

Enjoy a beautiful day of cycling on Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Ambler, PA at this year’s Tour de Cure, one of the American Diabetes Association’s signature fundraising events.  With over 200 volunteers taking care of your day-of-event needs you are sure to enjoy an excellent day of riding whether you choose one of our road routes (3-mile Family Fun Ride, 12-, 35-, 63-, & 100-mile rides).

The Tour de Cure starts and finishes at Temple University’s Ambler Campus.  It includes stocked rest stops, on-course medical and SAG support, a complimentary catered lunch, complimentary massage and live entertainment at the finish.  An additional lunch stop will be provided on our 63 & 100-mile routes. 

A minimum goal of $200 in fundraising is required per rider, and all funds go to support research, education and advocacy for all types of diabetes.  If you have diabetes, be sure to register online as a RED RIDER and be recognized for your courage in living with diabetes every day. 

All riders will also receive a T-shirt and goodie bag the day of the ride.  Ride for an excellent cause and help to STOP DIABETES in our region.

6/6 Perkasie Fire Company's Free Smoke Detector Installation Day

The Perkasie Fire Co. No.1 will be distributing free smoke detectors to residents of Perkasie Borough on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Members of our Fire Education Team will come to your residence and install new working smoke detector during the time listed above.  Our Fire Company annually participates with WPVI Channel 6 Operation Save a Life Smoke Detector program and receives a generous allotment of free Kidde Smoke Detectors with 10 year lithium batteries. The Humane League of Philadelphia presents the second annual Philly Veg Fest! Veg Fest is a celebration of the health, sustainability, and compassion encompassed by a vegetarian lifestyle. This event is free and open to the public. The event will feature live music, speakers, a cooking demo, food vendors, non-profits, and commercial vendors all associated with compassionate living. 6/13 5th Annual Governor Printz Antique Car Show

The 5th Annual Governor Printz Antique Car Show in Essington, PA. is Saturday June 13th on the Riverfront, in Historic and Scenic Governor Printz Park.

The show is open to Cars and Trucks up to 1990.

Day of Show entry fee $15 and the  proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Trophies for the Top 25 Vehicles, PLUS Best of Show. Dash Plaques for first 50 Vehicles. Peer ballot judging.

6/14 Swing For Charity Golf Tournament

“Swinging for Charity” is a Non-Profit organization that was founded by two friends Vince Barrilli and Vince Rotondi, who host an annual golf tournament in the Philadelphia area. In addition to supporting great causes, we encourage golfers of all skill levels to team up and experience golf the way it was intended, for fun!

Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit two great causes; The Philadelphia Chapter “Make-A-Wish” and “The Gift of Life”.

Participants of all ability levels can ride or walk for this event.  With scenic and challenging courses of 64, 39, 20 and 10 miles, this event has something for cyclists of all skill levels.  There is also a 10k, 5k, and 1k course for walkers or runners! Afterwards, participants can enjoy an all-you-can-eat picnic buffet, live music, and a raffle with great prizes.  This event is sure to be fun for the entire family.  All net proceeds from this event go towards programs and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

6/27 Milford Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1's 2nd Annual Jr. Firefighter Day Camp

With the end of the school year fast approaching, the Officers and Members of the Milford Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 are invested in keeping our communities children learning about safety through our  fire prevention / educational program.  We are hosting our 2nd annual Jr Firefighter Day Camp for kids!

This program will teach the children in fun ways the basics of being a firefighter, along with fire prevention tips.  The day camp will be held at the fire station located at 2185 Milford Square Pike, Quakertown, PA 18951, on June 27, 2015 (Rain Date is Sunday, 6/28/15).

The program is for children ages 5-13. The cost for each child is $25.00 which includes the program, lunch, t-shirt, and other small goodies.  We are asking for parents to preregister their child prior to June, 13, 2015.

8/1 Sports Night

The 2015 Sports Night is the largest event of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic Region.  Funds raised at the event go to support youth sports teams. charitable organizations and Collegiate Scholarships across the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Any local area sports teams / organizations or non-profit organizations can fundraise from Sports Night.  Participating teams receive the money raised through their ticket sales to the event as well as the top 10 teams / organizations with the most amount of people in attendance on August 1st get to participate in one of the 10 raffles, keeping %0% of the raffle money raised with the other 50% going towards the Collage Scholarships.  2 (one male and one female) student athletes from each: Philadelphia area, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey will be awarded scholarships  to help assist with their college education.

9/19 The Vereinigung Erzgebirge (VE Club) is presents: BOOB-B-Q

The Vereinigung Erzgebirge (VE Club) is presenting its third annual BOOB-B-Q (which has raised over $12,000.00), Barbeque for Breast Cancer. It will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 11am – 6 pm.  This event will be held on the VE Club's 60+ acres campus in Warminster, PA.

The majority of proceeds raised at this event will benefit The Cancer Support Community of Greater Philadelphia  and the Rosenfeld Cancer Center at Abington Memorial Hospital. Both organizations will be present to promote awareness and education for Breast Cancer.
