Drive begins on February 1, 2012 and will run through February 17, 2012.  Collection bins will be located throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.  Visit www.foundationforbabies.org for the full list of collection locations. Diapers will be distributed to several organizations in the Philadelphia area.  This will help the 1 and 3 families that struggle to provide clean diapers for their infants and toddlers.

2/1 - 2/7 PRO-ACT Family Addiction Education Program

Each month PRO-ACT (Pennsylvania Recovery Organization–Achieving Community Together) hosts a free Family Addiction Education Program to help individuals and families recognize and address an addiction problem in a spouse, parent, child or other loved one. Led by trained volunteers who have been in the same situation, these information and support programs begin the first week of each month and run one evening a week for three consecutive weeks. Each session lasts two hours. 

Programs are offered at several locations throughout the five-county southeast Pennsylvania region:

Tuesdays—From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Media and Northeast Philadelphia.

Wednesdays—From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Pottstown; from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in North Philadelphia; and from 7 p.m.to 9 p.m. in West Chester.

Thursdays—From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Northern Liberties; 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Bristol and Colmar

The first Delco Down Syndrome Interest Group (DelcoDSIG) "Queen of Hearts" Casino night event will be held at the Overbrook Country club on Saturday, February 4th at 7:00pm-11:00pm. This is the first ever Black Tie (optional) event for DelcoDSIG, come out for a great night of gambling and fun. On November 17, 2011, the mother of Kevin Szafranski returned home to an unimaginable horror to find that her 23 year old son died in his sleep the night before. 3/3 The Teddy Bedrossian Ski-a-Thon

The mission of the Teddy Bedrossian Ski-a-Thon is to enhance educational opportunities for children with special needs by helping to renovate the aging Davidson School building on Elwyn’s Media campus.The Ski-a-Thon was founded in memory of Teddy Bedrossian, a former Elwyn Davidson School student. Teddy was a blond-haired, blue-eyed, medically fragile special needs boy. When he was born, doctors predicted he would only live to be 4 months old. Defying all odds, he lived to be 18 years old. Since unintentional injury is still the number one killer of children, this day will focus on numerous injury prevention efforts. The 7th Annual Spring Basket Bingo sponsored by the Sellersville Fire Dept. Ladies' Auxiliary is on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Sellersville Fire House. Located at 2 North Main St., Sellersville, PA. Doors open at 11:30am and the games begin at 1pm. Tickets include 24 games and lunch. Extras include a grand prize game, raffles, Chinese auction, 50/50 and bingo ball pull tabs. Special drawing for pre-paid ticket holders. Prizes are Longaberger products all filled to the top!
