Alessa Abruzzo is 26 and suffers from a condition called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type II (CRPS II). It’s a disease of the sympathetic nervous system and causes severe pain throughout her body, both internally and externally. It’s an extremely painful condition, and it has severely impacted her ability to live a normal life. Luckily, there is hope. A hospital in Monterey, Mexico called the Centro Medico Zambrano Hellion is offering a treatment known as the Ketamine Coma. During this treatment, She would be placed in a medically-induced coma and given massive doses of the drug Ketamine. The treatment would help to “reboot” her nervous system, relieving hey pain and sending the RSD/CRPS II into remission.
