Tickets are $10 at the door and include: Food, Fun, Music, Door Prizes, and Raffles. Proceeds will go to helping Shelly.
Shelly was diagnosed with a low grade astrocytoma in the left frontal lobe of her brain in October 2011 after having a seizure behind the wheel of her school bus. She was an employee of Kraph’s School Bus Company for 10 years and enjoyed her job driving for local schools. Since the diagnosis, Shelly has undergone a craniotomy resection to reduce the tumor and radiation therapy to prevent growth and mutation to a high grade tumor. Since the original diagnosis, her husband, George (Mike) Monaghan has been her sole provider. He has taken on the role of primary care-giver as well as working full-time to support the household and medical expenses accrued. Shelly was denied disability benefits with the hope that after radiation she would be able to return to a desk job.
