Supporters of the Elwyn community are hitting the slopes on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, Pa. for The Teddy Bedrossian Ski-a-Thon.
Check in will begin at 8 A.M. and the event will be from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. A reception will be held after from 1 P.M. to 2:30 P.M., followed by an awards ceremony from 2:30 P.M. to 3 P.M.
The Ski-a-Thon honors the life of Teddy Bedrossian, an adorable, blond-haired, blue-eyed medically fragile boy with special needs who passed away three years ago from kidney failure. When he was born, doctors predicted Teddy would only live to be four months old. Defying the odds, he lived to be 18 years old. He was strong and courageous throughout his medical journey.
Proceeds from the Ski-a-Thon will go towards enhancing educational opportunities for children with special needs at Elwyn by helping to fund a new education building on the Media campus.
